The Town of Orleans is receiving one-million-dollars for the reconstruction and improvement of the Rock Harbor Commercial Wharf.
The grant from the Massachusetts Seaport Economic Council will be used for a number of projects including the installation of a new sheet pile bulkhead, construction of two commercial floats with pier and gangway access and the addition of a public viewing area.
The project design has incorporated feedback from local fishermen and community members.
