Steamship Authority Will Celebrate New Vessel With Public Tours

The Steamship Authority will celebrate the commissioning of the M/V Barnstable next week.

There will be a public ceremony at the Hyannis Terminal Monday morning, followed by self-guided tours of the vessel from 11:00 a.m. until noon when it makes its trip to Nantucket where another tour will take place.

The M/V Barnstable is one of three sister ships purchased from Hornbeck Offshore Services, and converted at the Alabama Shipyard to suit Steamship Authority needs.
