The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Cape Cod and the rest of Massachusetts, along with Connecticut and Rhode Island today.
The warning will be in effect from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 this evening.
Forecasters say the humidity as low as 39-percent, dry conditions and 35-mile-per-hour winds gusts create conditions that will quickly spread fires.
