Cape Cod Ballot Question 6 Narrowly Defeated

There were varying degrees of support for Cape Cod's ballot Question 6, but in the end the proposed amendment failed to pass.

The referendum proposed that the Barnstable County charter be amended to give the Assembly of Delegates more power over budget matters.

According to the unofficial election results, the margin of defeat was just over three-percent.

Back in October, the County Board of Regional Commissioners voted to oppose Question 6 on the ballot.
