The Town of Brewster will be staging a balloon test for a proposed cell tower project on Friday.
From 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. a large, tethered balloon will be floating more than 100-feet in the air near Millstone Road and Route 137 [[ Long Pond Road.]]
This balloon test is related to a permit application that's pending before the Cape Cod Commission for a 125-foot cell tower.
As part of the application process, the CCC requires the applicant to float a balloon at the approximate height of the proposed tower to assess the visual impact.
The rain date for the project is Monday, September 30.
