Wellfleet Fire Chief Joseph Cappello has issued a Cease-and-Desist order related to the wooden L-Pier at the Town Marina.
The Chief says the deteriorated condition of the pier poses a liability for the town because of planks that are in poor condition.
He says while he was unable to inspect the substructure, it's reasonable to assume that it needs repairs.
Cappello says the condition will likely worsen and he's instructing all fuel and water delivery trucks to immediately cease and desist from driving onto the pier
