State Settles With Margaritaville Construction Firm

A construction company that worked on the Margaritaville Resort project in Hyannis has settled with the state over alleged labor violations.

Virginia based Remby Contractors is agreeing to pay nearly 300-thousand-dollars in restitution to 78 workers on the project.

Remby was accused of not paying minimum wages or overtime, not providing pay stubs and of misclassifying workers as independent contractors.

The 30-million-dollar project renovated the former Cape Codder Resort into a Jimmy Buffet themed property.
