Barnstable police say a man is being charged with leaving the scene of a crash in Centerville after a strange initial meeting early Monday morning.
Officers were called to Route 132 and the on-ramp for Route 6 East around 1:00 and found a car in the middle of the road and its driver asleep behind the wheel.
Incredibly, the guy was sober and appeared to have simply nodded out.
As police were investigating, a witness told them the same driver hit two vehicles behind the nearby Burger King, which led to the charges.
Nothing from the arraignment session yet.
