The annual Massachusetts sales tax holiday is this weekend.
The six-and-a-quarter percent tax will not be charged on most retail purchases worth under 25-hundred-dollars.
However, there are exceptions including tobacco, alcohol, marijuana products, gas and meals.
As an aside, the Connecticut Sales Tax Free program runs an entire week, August 20 through 26 and is geared to back to school shopping.
