Weather permitting, the "turbine turmoil" which has plagued Cape Cod for weeks may finally come to an end.
Ever since it was revealed that part of a wood turbine failed sending debris across a large part of the area- residents have been wondering when the crisis would end.
Last night they got an answer.
Officials at GE Vernova say that there is still about seven percent of the turbine that is left hanging over the ocean and they will begin the process of removing that later today.
Officials told the Nantucket Select Board last night that they do not believe that the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby will have any impact on the removal operation.
