The selection process for future offshore wind projects have been held up.
Communications between state agencies note that all decisions in the matter will not be made until September 6th.
The selection was to take place on Wednesday; the reason for the postponement involves the recent federal grant to the New England states through the US Department of Energy’s Grid Innovation Program.
The plan for now is to consider what impact the Power Up New England proposal would have on the process, and this will push back long-term agreements as well.
