GE Verona Blades Inspected Following Vineyard Wind Blade Breakage

Wind turbine blades manufactured by GE Verona are being inspected after the recent failure of blades in the water south of Nantucket.

The company made around 150 of the blades at its manufacturing plant in Canada, including the ones used by Vineyard Wind that broke apart in mid-July and littered area water and beaches with fiberglass debris.

Vineyard Wind power generation and construction has been suspended during the investigation.
