A hazardous materials team was called into Falmouth after a mercury spill was reported.
A mercury thermometer apparently broke at a home on Heritage Circle.
The mercury was cleaned up from the home, and no injuries were reported.
Spilled mercury can be dangerous if not cleaned up properly, as it releases toxic vapors that can harm people and animals.
