The West Nile virus has been detected in a mosquito collected in Edgartown.
It's the first time an infected mosquito has been found this year on the Vineyard.
The last time Edgartown found mosquitoes with West Nile Virus was in 2022.
Following the positive test, Edgartown says it will continue to sample mosquitoes to assess the risk on the Island.
