The Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office is focusing on human trafficking.
A dozen people have been charged in alleged cases of human trafficking across the Cape since January.
Speaking in Hyannis, District Attorney Robert Galibois discussed the work of the office’s anti-trafficking network, which began in February, and is funded by a state grant.
This has included training sessions for first responder and service workers, with two more planned for the Islands. New flyers and QR code magnets will provide a link to report suspected human trafficking.
There is also a hotline available by call or text at 774-822-0632.
