The Town of Dennis is reminding teens that registration for the Junior Lifeguard Program closes on Friday, July 12.
The American Red Cross course gives entry-level lifeguards the knowledge and skills they need to prevent, recognize and respond to water emergencies.
The program also teaches participants how to start providing care in the event of cardiac emergencies, injuries or sudden illnesses until emergency personnel respond.
The classes will be held from July 15 through the 19th at West Dennis Beach.
