A new Shark Week program that premiered on the Discovery Channel Wednesday night featured a local expert.
Dr. Greg Skomal with the state Division of Marine Fisheries detailed the work he's been doing with white sharks off the Cape coast for the past several years in a new program called Great White North.
It also examined the connection between the Cape and the growing shark population in Nova Scotia.
