High Surf Advisory Starts This Afternoon

Ocean-exposed beaches along the south coast, Cape and Islands will be under a high surf advisory from noon until 7:00 this evening.

According to the National Weather Service, large breaking waves of four-to-nine-feet are expected in the surf zone.

The waves will create dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.

Inexperienced swimmers should stay out of the water due to the conditions.
