Barnstable Police announcing the promotion of Jason Laber to Lieutenant.
He is an Army Veteran and a member of the Massachusetts National Guard.
He joined the Barnstable Department in 1999. In the Barnstable Department he was a Domestic Violence Detective for seven years; a General Investigations Detective for 5 years after that.
He has been awarded The President’s Award in 2008 by Mass Cops for a major firearms seizure as well as the Life Saving Award in 2002 for saving someone from a Winter Street blaze.
Lt Laber is being assigned to the midnight shift as its Commander.
