Income-eligible residents of the Cape and Martha's Vineyard may now qualify for an e-bike rebate program that could cover up to 90-percent of the purchase price.
Cape Light Compact has received more than 341-thousand-dollars from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center for the rebate program in an effort to promote environmentally-friendly and equitable transportation access.
The first phase of the initiative covered 75-percent, but some participants could not cover the balance so the program was modified and additional funding was added for the larger rebate.
