Cranberry farmers in Bourne, Sandwich and Marstons Mills are getting some help from the state to renovate their bogs.
They'll be receiving a cut of more than three-million-bucks in grants announced earlier this month for cranberry bog restorations across Massachusetts.
The efforts are designed to get more yield from the bogs in hopes of competing with cranberry farmers from Wisconsin and Canada.
Massachusetts produces more than a quarter of the nation's cranberries with yearly crops worth more than 70-million-bucks.
