Six Miles Of Danger In Falmouth

The six-mile stretch of Route 28 in Falmouth between Jones Road and the fork at Fresh Pond Road is the Cape's most dangerous.

So says an analysis of MassDOT accident data by the Cape Cod Times.

That portion of 28 saw 477 wrecks between January of 2022 and July of last year, over 100 more than occurred on the Cape's second-most dangerous stretch of road, the five-plus miles of Route 28 from Centerville to the Airport Rotary in Hyannis.

Roads in Bourne and Yarmouth also made the paper's list.
