A Cape resident has been arraigned on dozens of illegal weapons charges.
The state Attorney General's Office says Scott LaPanne of East Falmouth is accused of nearly 50 counts of assault weapons possession.
These include possession without a license to carry, possession of large-capacity devices, a silence, and unlicensed ammunition.
Investigators say the 46-year-old LaPanne was under investigation for allegedly purchasing firearm components on the Internet.
A warrant was executed on LaPanne's home after his arrest on February 29th for driving with a suspended license.
