The Atlantic Hurricane Season is set to begin in June, and forecasters are watching weather patterns that could bring more storms to the region.
A La Nina pattern, which involves cooler waters along the equator in the Pacific Ocean is anticipated to allow tropical storms to build with greater energy.
This, plus warmer temperatures in the Eastern Atlantic has NOAA and other agencies calling for an active season, with a potentially above-normal number of named storms.
