A significant road project is set to get underway this summer which should make Buzzards Bay safer for pedestrians.
An improvement plan will have Main Street and Academy Drive reconfigured, with expanded sidewalks, and allow motorists better visibility, especially as they come off Cranberry Highway.
The town gateway project, costing an estimated 507-thousand dollars will get started in June, following graduation at the nearby Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
