Barnstable County has received funding to help deal with the region's water quality.
The AquiFund wastewater loan program is being provided 13 million dollars from the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust.
The program provides low to no-interest loans to homeowners to upgrade septic systems and sewer line connections.
Nearly five thousand property owners have benefited from the program.
