Governor Maura Healey has announced 50-million dollars will be provided to build electric vehicle charging stations across the Bay State.
The funding will be used to provide curbside stations for the public, plus move forward with plans to convert the state's fleet to EVs.
This follows the recent expansion of the Massachusetts Offers Rebates for Electric Vehicles, or MOR-EV Program, which adds additional financial incentives to purchase an EV, on top of the current 35-hundred dollar discount.
The money will come out of American Rescue Plan Act funds.
