An accident on Route 28 in West Yarmouth left a detail officer injured Tuesday morning.
The officer was conducting traffic control across from the Sunbird Cape Cod Resort in the 200 block of the highway when he was struck by a vehicle.
He was taken to an area hospital; his name and injuries were not disclosed.
The accident remains under investigation.
