An appeal against the construction of an artificial turf field at Martha's Vineyard Regional High School is expected to end.
The issue surrounds the renovation of the school's athletic facilities, which includes the change to a turf field.
Oak Bluffs Planning Board members turned down the school committee's application in 2022, but a state Land Court judge ruled in favor of the district.
In December the board voted 2-to-1, with one absentee and one abstention to appeal.
On Thursday, board chair Ewell Hopkins said while in favor of the appeal, he will recommend dropping the matter, as the Select Board voted to end funding for it.
