Cold And Snow Headed To Cape

The latest coastal storm is expected to bring colder temperatures this weekend, with snow along the upper part of Cape Cod.

An Arctic air mass moving into the region will cause lows to drop into the teens through the weekend.

Between two and five inches of snow is predicted for south and east of I-95-the higher totals should come from Barnstable County and the Route 3 corridor of Plymouth County.

The southerly storms that have struck Cape and Islands this winter are due in part to the first El Nino weather pattern in five years.

Island residents in particular will see more of these storms as the decade progresses.
