State Attorney General Andrea Campbell has joined with her counterparts in New York and Illinois as co-leaders of a coalition calling for changes to immigration.
The 19-state group sent a letter to the federal Department of Homeland Security, which urged DHS to do more to address the stream of new arrivals and eliminate fees or offer waivers for work permits.
The AGs did compliment DHS on recent actions to expedite work permits for legally paroled immigrants and asylum seekers.
