Climate Program Expanding

In its nearly three years, the Climate Ambassador Program has seen growth.

Created by the Cape Cod Commission in 2021, the program works against climate change through education and youth awareness.

Nearly 60 students from 12 Cape schools have taken part in the initiative.

Students in grades 9 through 12 will learn in-depth about climate change, how to communicate effectively regarding climate issues, and what actions can be taken individually and in groups.

Commission Executive Director Kristy Senatori says regional and global climate issues are discussed with students, who are also mentored by climate experts and advocates.
