Report: More First Time Licenses Issued Since New Law Began

There's been a spike in the number of people getting first-time driver's licenses in Massachusetts.

The increase follows enactment of a law earlier this year allowing people to apply for a driver's license or learner's permit regardless of their immigration status. 

The Boston Herald reported over 140 thousand people have gotten a license or permit since the law went into effect.
