A new report shows Massachusetts hospitals significantly improved in preventing hospital infections during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Washington-based Leapfrog Group released its Fall 2023 report, which evaluated 57 hospitals statewide.
Cape Cod Hospital was one of 19 facilities that received an "A" grade for safety and improved from a "B" in the past two reviews.
The Leapfrog Group was formed in 2000 and is an independent healthcare watchdog group that examines how more than three thousand hospitals in the US prevent medical errors, accidents, and infections.
