Rate Increases Bringing New Revenues To Steamship Authority

The Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket Steamship Authority have approved rate adjustments for the 2024 season.

Meeting Tuesday, the authority agreed to standard fare adjustments for vehicles owned by non-island residents for both the Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket routes.

Auto coupon book prices will also increase.

Considered part of the regular budget process, the increases are expected to bring in one-point-seven million dollars in additional revenue for the Vineyard, and about one-point-three million for Nantucket.
