A bill co-sponsored by Cape State Representative Dylan Fernandes targeting wage transparency is heading to the state Senate for debate.
The state House this week approved the Democrat's measure, which would require businesses with more than 25 employees to disclose the expected salary range for open jobs.
It would also call on state Labor officials to publish a detailed statewide wage study that would be made public.
Fernandes thinks the moves will significantly close the wage gap for women and people of color.
