Police Chiefs Take Aim At Stopping New Gun Law

A group representing hundreds of Massachusetts police chiefs are opposed to a House bill that seeks to overhaul the state's gun laws.

A hearing was held on the proposal yesterday at the State House, where the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association expressed their opposition.

The group says their issue with bill involves a provision that limits where gun owners can bring their weapons.

The chiefs say the bill does not carve out exceptions in the provision for police officers and state troopers.
