President Biden has announced he is granting Temporary Protected Status to Venezuelan asylum seekers and migrants who arrived in the United States before July.
That includes the 49 migrants who were flown to Martha's Vineyard by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis last fall.
Those who have been granted the status will be able to more-quickly obtain employment.
Rachel Self, a Vineyard-based immigration attorney, says they are thrilled about the new relief option that has been made available.
