Hurricane Lee represented the first test of a new sea wall that was built in Marshfield.
WCVB-TV reports the wall was completed last year after nearly five years' worth of repairs.
There were sea wall failures in Marshfield and Duxbury from a nor'easter in 2018.
The new Marshfield sea wall at Brant Rock is about three feet higher than the last one.
