The Patriots lost to the Houston Texans, 20-9 at Gillette Stadium in their NFL preseason opener Thursday night.
Bailey Zappe started at quarterback for the Pats, going 12-for-14 and 79 yards passing.
Regular starter Mac Jones did not play.
New England's second preseason game is on the road versus the Green Bay Packers on Saturday, August 19th at 8 p.m.
