Coast Guard Station Menemsha held a change-of-command.
The Vineyard Gazette reports the leader for the last year, Chief Warrant Officer Steven White, handed the reins over to Senior Chief Nicholas Grim.
White served at the station in Chilmark for three years, and was awarded a Commendation Medal.
He is taking a new Coast Guard position in Hawaii.
Grim came to Menemsha from the Coast Guard station in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
