The public is being invited to Barnstable Town Hall tonight to hear updates on planned improvements at Cape Cod Gateway Airport in Hyannis.
One of the airport's two runways would be extended by about 13-hundred feet.
Neighbors and community members expressed concern during public comment earlier this year about the potential noise increase and environmental issues.
The meeting hosted by the airport commission gets underway at 6 p.m.
