The Falmouth Selectboard is confirming the appointment of a new police chief.
The position is going to Jeffrey Lourie, who will move from his current job as chief of the police department in Westborough.
There has not been an official start date for Lourie in Falmouth, but interim town manager Peter Johnston-Staub says it will be soon.
Lourie is replacing Edward Dunne, who retired.
