Cape Cod is set to receive nearly 24-million-bucks in federal climate change grants.
The money will be used to improve coastal resiliency, restore marshlands and habitats and remove fishing gear lost in the waters off the Cape.
A large portion of the funding is going to Wellfleet for the first phase of a project to revitalize more than a thousand acres of tidal wetlands surrounding the Herring River.
