A boat washed ashore in Duxbury on Tuesday, prompting a search.
WHDH-TV reports the 24-foot Pearson boat was found on the beach unmanned at around 8 a.m.
The Coast Guard initiated an air and water search.
The boater was later accounted for.
He said he was traveling from Scituate to Cape Cod when he fell asleep and the boat grounded.
