Expanded bus service is coming to Provincetown.
The CCRTA is launching a pilot program May 5th that'll test a 5:24 a.m. first drop-off on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays while the last bus out of Provincetown would be 1:36 a.m. on those days.
The program will last for a couple of weeks before the expanded hours move to seven days a week from May 22nd to June 23rd.
The general consensus among town officials seems to be the extra rides are needed desperately to accommodate riders during the busy summer and shoulder seasons.
