Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School principal Paul Funk, who was set to begin a new principal position at Duxbury High School this summer, has passed away.
Dennis-Yarmouth superintendent Carol Woodbury says Funk died unexpectedly after suffering a heart attack on Saturday.
He was 51 years old.
Funk was also the head coach of the D-Y high school football team, and led the Dolphins to state championships in 2011 and 2017.
This is vacation week, but Woodbury says the school will host students and staff for a remembrance.
Funeral Services have not been announced.
