An entangled humpback whale is now swimming freely again thanks to a team of rescuers. The Center for Coastal Studies reported the whale was with her young calf when she was spotted off the coast of Chatham. In a statement the Center said a thick rope was wrapped around the whales body five times. They said without intervention it would have been lethal for the whale and her baby.
