Dennis Police are showcasing their new mental health task force.
It’s made up of three mental health clinicians, a victim advocate, and five specially-trained police officers.
Officially implemented back in December, Dennis Police Sergeant Ryan Carr says it’s been a major success so far.
The task force is currently being funded by a state grant, so it’ll be up to the town to decide if they want to continue funding it when the grant money runs dry.
