A North Atlantic Right Whale that gave birth while entangled in rope is in Cape Cod waters along with her calf.
The Center for Coastal Studies says "Snow Cone", a 17-year-old, was seen with her new offspring on the Atlantic side of the outer Cape on Sunday.
Snow Cone lost her first calf to a ship strike in 2020.
The Center for Coastal Studies removed about three-hundred feet of rope when the whale was in Plymouth last year.
Scientists are concerned that the remaining entanglement could endanger the animal's life.
